We specialize in solid concrete buildings that meet all nationwide building codes,that meet or exceed all building codes, including the stringent South Florida building codes like Broward County and Miami Dade County.

Concrete is a permitted building material in South Florida, and is in fact a common choice for foundations, walls, and other structural elements of buildings and other structures. The Florida Building Code (FBC) specifically allows the use of solid concrete in construction. For example, Section 1904.1 of the FBC states that structural concrete is permitted and shall conform to the durability requirements of ACI 318, which is a standard published by the American Concrete Institute.

We meet/exceed these building codes because we use 6000 PSI shotcrete, which is a type of concrete that is sprayed onto surfaces at a high velocity. This creates a dense, durable concrete that is superior to cast-in-place concrete in several ways.

First, shotcrete is more resistant to cracking and shrinkage than cast-in-place concrete. This is because shotcrete is compacted as it is sprayed, which reduces the amount of air voids in the concrete. Air voids are a major cause of cracking, shrinkage and corrosion.

Second, shotcrete is more resistant to fire than cast-in-place concrete. This is because shotcrete has a lower water content than cast-in-place concrete. Water evaporates when concrete is exposed to fire, which can cause the concrete to crack and spall.

Third, shotcrete is more versatile and stronger than concrete masonary units and even stronger than cast-in-place concrete. Shotcrete can be used for foundations, walls, beams, columns, bridges, and garages. It can be sprayed on, regardless of the shape, angle or complexity.
